    The Directors of this successful, thriving, top performing and oversubscribed Catholic Academy invite prospective parents and pupils to our open evening on: Thursday 16th September 2021 5.00pm - 8.00pm Shaggy Calf Lane, Slough, Berkshire, SL2 5HW BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL The Headteacher, Mr Stapleton will address parents at 5.45pm and 6.45pm in the Main Hall. Guided tours available from 5.00pm, last tour at 7.00pm. Numbers are limited for each time slot to allow for social distancing.   • GCSE Results Success!

    “Phenomenal” set of results at St Joseph’s Catholic High School 53% of students gaining 5 GCSEs 9-5+ Inc. English and Maths 76% of students gaining 5 GCSEs 9-4+ Inc. English and Maths 83% of students took the EBacc. 49% of the cohort gained the EBacc Ciran Stapleton, Head Teacher, said: “The Centre Assessed Grades we submitted was the process of a rigorous process undertaken by all the staff which also took into account the students second set of mock results completed only 2 months before the Summer exams; unseen full past papers, marked to the exam specification criteria and standardised – so we’re sure they are a true reflection of what they would have gone on to achieve.

  • Provisional Start Dates for the 2021-2022 Academic Year

    Important Provisional Dates for the beginning of Autumn Term Tuesday 31 st August Year 8 9am ,   9 11am and 10 Students 1pm arrive for LAT flow tests (staff are not required to attend)
    Wednesday 1 st September Inset day 1 for staff only (LAT flow testing for Years 11 9am , 12 11am and 13 1pm )
    Thursday 2 nd September Inset day 2 for staff only
    Friday 3 rd September transition day for Year 7 only (including LAT Flow tests)
    Monday 6 th September transition day 2 for Year 7 and induction day for Year 12 only (LAT Flow testing for Years 8 9am , 9 11am and year 10 1pm )
    Tuesday 7 th September year 7 (LAT flow testing for years 11 9am , 12 11am , 13 1pm )
    Wednesday 8 th September Year 7, 12 and 13 ( LAT flow testing year 7 )

    Until 15 th February we will be taking part in ‘Lockdown Reads’.  An opportunity for you to share the books you are enjoying while you are stuck at home.  This is open for ALL staff and ALL pupils, please do take part and share photos of yourself reading – the best ones will be shared on our twitter page!   • Letter from our Head Teacher, 4th January 2021

    Our Head Teacher, Ciran Stapleton, has written a letter in reference to the announcement made by the Prime Minister on Monday, 4th January 2021. We hope that this response will help to answer some of your questions and alleviate any concerns that you may have in regards to your child's education and well-being. With that said, despite the changes to the June examination series that was announced by the government this evening, the BTEC and Cambridge National Exams scheduled for January will go ahead as planned. We have postponed the Centre Assessed Exams (PPE2/Mocks) for years 11-13 until further notice and will continue to teach the content of the curriculum accordingly.
