  • GCSE Results Success!

    “Phenomenal” set of results at St Joseph’s Catholic High School 53% of students gaining 5 GCSEs 9-5+ Inc. English and Maths 76% of students gaining 5 GCSEs 9-4+ Inc. English and Maths 83% of students took the EBacc. 49% of the cohort gained the EBacc Ciran Stapleton, Head Teacher, said: “The Centre Assessed Grades we submitted was the process of a rigorous process undertaken by all the staff which also took into account the students second set of mock results completed only 2 months before the Summer exams; unseen full past papers, marked to the exam specification criteria and standardised – so we’re sure they are a true reflection of what they would have gone on to achieve.

  • Letter from our Head Teacher, 4th January 2021

    Our Head Teacher, Ciran Stapleton, has written a letter in reference to the announcement made by the Prime Minister on Monday, 4th January 2021. We hope that this response will help to answer some of your questions and alleviate any concerns that you may have in regards to your child's education and well-being. With that said, despite the changes to the June examination series that was announced by the government this evening, the BTEC and Cambridge National Exams scheduled for January will go ahead as planned. We have postponed the Centre Assessed Exams (PPE2/Mocks) for years 11-13 until further notice and will continue to teach the content of the curriculum accordingly.
