I am delighted to introduce myself as the Headteacher of St Joseph's. I do hope that the information on our website is helpful and that you are able to find out more about our very successful school.

We are a very happy and caring Roman Catholic school where the needs of our students are of paramount importance. We are fully committed to the development of the whole child and students are given every opportunity to realize their full potential. Students are taught strong moral values at our school and behave with courtesy, respect and dignity.

We are passionate about learning and teaching at St. Joseph’s. Our teaching is designed to inspire, challenge and motivate students so that they can learn to the best of their ability.

I am pleased to report that 61% of our Year 11 pupils who left last summer achieved 5 A*-C GCSE grades. This is a significant improvement on last year's results and Year 11 students are to be congratulated.

Ofsted judged our school in 2006 and 2008 to be ‘good’ with ‘outstanding features’. Standards and achievements of pupils are improving rapidly and I fully expect the school to achieve an even greater degree of excellence over the next few years.
