On Wednesday 26th October we celebrated last year’s sporting achievements as a school. We had a lot to celebrate this year, with students once again improving on previous years performances. We were incredibly lucky to have Elizabeth Cann, Commonwealth Medallist representing the awards. Elizabeth spoke to the students about her experience and gave them an inspiring message about the type of commitment and dedication it takes to achieve at elite level.
Congratulations to the award winners on the night, and a big congratulations to this year’s Team of the Year, the Year 10 Boys Athletics Team and our Individual Performance of the year, Conor Gough, who took part in the Junior Ryder Cup representing Europe! Another congratulations must go to Samantha Osei Tutu and Mark Andrews, the SJ Sports Captains, who presented the awards seamlessly yet again.
Thank you to all who make our sports teams such a success at St Joseph’s, we are really fortunate with the staff that assist us week in week out, with our extracurricular provision. We would also like to take the opportunity to thank you, the parents, as without your support the students would not be able to participate in nearly as much.
We look forward to seeing what the St Joseph sports teams can do on the pitch/court this season. Can we make this season even better?
